Die 1992 geborene Musikerin Rosemary Claire Salvucci mit US-amerikanischen und italienischen Wurzeln studiert derzeit Kontrabass an der Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, Texas, bei Prof Timothy Pitts. 2010 erhielt sie ihr Abschlussdiplom am New England Conservatory. Die junge Kontrabassistin starting competing at a young age and has up to now garnered several awards and competition prizes: Katherine B. Dobelman Prize, Cheryl and Andrew Fossler Award, Winner of the Young Artist Competition carried out by the Chamber Orchestra “A Far Cry”, Second Prize at the Walden Chamber Players Young Artist Competition or Third Prize at the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, to name but a few.
Rosemary has gathered extensive orchestra experience as a member of the Rice University Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra, Shepherd School Chamber Orchestra, Double Bass, Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at New England Conservatory (leader double bass) or within the Orchestra Academy of the Pacific Music Festival, Sapporo. Guest memberships also led her to the Bach Society Orchestra, San Antonio Opera Orchestra and San Antonio Symphony Players. Rosemary attended numerous masterclasses, amongst others with Benjamin Levy, Lawrence Wolfe, Božo Paradžik, Franco Petracchi, Nico Abbondolo, Paul Ellison and many more.
